Youth Run Coach/Coordinator Volunteers (Part-Time) I Can Do 26.2 Kids seeks a Youth Run Coach/Coordinator (YRC) for our dynamic non-profit organization. Join us in fostering a fun and collaborative environment while working with children aged 4-12. Be part of our premier 6-week summer running program aimed at promoting an active lifestyle and positive well-being in youth and their families. We help our children adopt a “Raise and Move” attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate both adult and youth volunteer staff.

  • Cultivate a passion for youth development and athletics.

  • Maintain strong organizational skills and punctuality.

  • Communicate effectively with children and adults.

  • Flexibility to adapt and improvise when necessary.

  • Inspire and motivate others to embrace our mission.

  • Resolve conflicts with empathy and professionalism.

  • Collaborate with co-coaches and mentor youth volunteers

Requirements:

  • Experience with youth aged 4-12 in academic, athletic, or recreational settings.

  • Background in running or walking, competitive or recreational.

  • Volunteering experience in direct service organizations.

  • Ability to work inclusively with diverse communities.

  • Availability on Monday & Thursday evenings from 5:30-8:00 p.m. during the summer season, June 24, 2024, to August 3, 2024.

  • Pass a background check and hold current First Aid/CPR/AED certification
